A little Retail Therapy

Sometimes we just need to look at our wardrobe and update a couple of things.  I love to dress up a pair of jeans with a Tee Shirt that has a little bit of glitz to it.  However I needed a new tee and also something for just everyday wear.  So off to the Mall to take advantage of some of the January clearance sales.

There were a ton of sales going on, however I only found a few things.  (Well, I did buy some new lingerie, however I'm not showing that.)  This tee is a great navy blue and silver glitz stripe.  The glitz doesn't show up in the pic, but it is subtle and perfect.

I love the square neckline also.  I think it is very flattering on just about everyone.

This cute little black and white short sleeve cardigan is going to be a great piece all year long.  Fun to wear it with or without a tank underneath.

Ok, to be totally honest also, I've gained 12 lbs since our vacation in early October, so with vacation, all the company and Christmas, I ate myself into oblivion.  I still want to look good and be comfortable while I loose this weight, so I needed some new pants to tide me over.  ( I hate that I had to buy one size larger, however when pants are too tight, I think you look bigger and if they are tight, I am just miserable.  So swallow the pride and buy some that fit.  A new pair of jeans and a new pair of black slacks.

The jeans had just enough detail on the pocket to be interesting, but not show off my larger than usual behind.

Just for the record, I had a salad for lunch after all this shopping and a glass of iced tea.  I am definitely going to loose this weight and fast I hope.

On the way home I stopped by a GW close to the mall, and I was thrilled that I found these 6 silver goblets.  They were $2.99 ea. and then 25% off.

DH is taking me to dinner tonight and I think I will wear my jeans and my new Tee.  It's always fun to have something new, just makes you feel special.

Thanks for stopping by, I always look forward to your visits.

The T-s look really nice as well as the new pants. The goblets were a special find. I, too, went to GW but didn't find anything that special. It was pretty picked thru since Sat. was their 50% off. Thanks for sharing.

Cute clothes! I know how it is with gaining weight over the holidays. I'm sure you're not alone! Good luck with your diet. With the warmer weather coming up, that will be good motivation.

Love the tops and that they are blue and white. A bit fancier than a plain t too.

Love the tops! I'm always so envious of people who can wear vertical stripes.
And I 'm nuts about those goblets! Our GW is so horrible. Just. So. Horrible.

Marty , I love your new clothes. I started the weight watchers program last Thursday. I am excited that I have lost five pounds so far! Weight Watchers is the only diet that works for me, because I can eat anything I want as long as I stick to my daily point allotment!

I love navy & white together and that tee is adorable! I know what you mean about eating into oblivion! I have been doing more than my share of that lately. Your excursion whetted my appetite for some shopping! I have such a hard time finding things that fit well...I'm a petite (height) and "curvaceous" (or however you spell that). When God made me I hope he threw the mold away because I'd hate for anybody else to have as much trouble as me finding things that fit in all the right places. Love the goblets...you are one lucky lady when it comes to GW shopping!

Almost every top I own is stripes....I love them in any color and any style....I like the square neckline....Most of mine are boat neck which causes you to wear a strapless bra....You don't want to know how I didn't realize at the grocery store that mine had slipped down around my waist....I stood complaining to the store manager about something I was unhappy about....the deli I think....and I wondered why she kept looking at my waist....When I got home I discovered the big bulge of bra and bare boobs.....it was very embarrassing even in the privacy of my own home....

Marty... Cute tops... I see that you are a *stripe girl* too. Is it our age? Or, our love? My kids give me the worse time..."Mom, do you ALWAYS have to buy every top with stripes"? Yeppers... I love them! So there. Or they will say "It's SO YOU"... I'm with you on the stripes. Have a great week. xoso Sandy

Well, I am pea green with envy over those lovely silver goblets! And your tops are both adorable. I love square necks also. I can't wear stripes very well. Too darned short ..or something. However, now that I see yours..I might just give them a try again. I live in jeans too and don't like them tight. Why be miserable..right? :)
