Isn't it a beautiful pattern and color. All the identity there is on the back of the plate is "Two's Company". If you know more about the pattern, I would love to know.
When I was doing the spring cleaning in the LR and DR, I decided to use the plate on the DR table in a vignette. I moved the silver champagne bucket floral arrangement from the coffee table and added my little dog figurine. A dark brown table runner finished off the display.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I am having a ball going through the links to the 100th TTT. You guys are amazing. The party is still open if you want to link up.

I love brown transferware too. Your vignette is lovely.
ReplyDeleteThat plate is very pretty. I like the color, but I'm more intrigued by the fact that it's an octagon. I had to count the edges twice to be sure. I haven't seen too many of those.
ReplyDeleteI love your plate. I have some of those (different patterns) from Two's Company too. I love your feathers mixed with the silver and transferware too.
ReplyDeleteMarty that plate is gorgeous!! Of course you know your color scheme is a favorite of mine as well.
ReplyDeleteI love that plate! I just posted something with my red transferware!
ReplyDeleteOn Replacements Ltd. your pattern simply says "BROWN TRANSFERWARE by TWO'S COMPANY [TWCBRT]"

That's a very pretty plate, Marty! I like the dark brown and white or cream, like this one, myself. I don't often see them when I'm out at the antique marts here, but maybe I'm not hitting the right ones. I will keep looking though!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful plate Marty my fav transfer is brown, but got non, gosh! Hope someday I will, there's non around here, sometimes in the antique stores, I'll check, you made me want at least one! Have a nice evening.

Love your brown transferware plate Marty and your vignette looks beautiful! I love the feathers in your silver bucket!!
ReplyDeletePretty plate and I like the way you used it in the vignette. Congratulations on your 100th post of Table Top Tuesday! I did not join in that often, but appreciate that you have taken so much of your time and resources to be hostess to this fun event all this time.Thank You !!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your evening.
Love the shape of the plate as much as the color! It looks very pretty in your dining room.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty vignette, Marty. If you ever need to get rid of that runner, I know a lady in Georgia who would take it off your hands. :o) Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely plate Marty, and of course set off beautifully in your vignette :o)

I really like your display! I especially like the arrangement in the silver container. I have one that looks just like yours. It currently is holding my ruler collection but I think it's time for a change, so I think I might try and copy what you did!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty vignette! I love your plate and the little pup is precious!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
A very pretty vignette. I love the plate -- Two's Company always does a nice job with whatever they do!
ReplyDeleteThe dog makes your vignette perfect!
Lovely! If I had more room I would start collecting the brown and white as well as the red and white. It looks so pretty with your feathers! :)

Marty,
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! I agree, the brown and white have a tranquil effect. Loving that silver with the brown, as well! Beautiful vignette, dear friend!
Fondly,
Pat
I like your vignette very much. Color, proportion, texture, all work perfectly.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I love your dog figurine too. Your combination makes for a beautiful vignette.
ReplyDeleteMarty, your vignette with the brown theme is lovely. Your new plate, the little dog, and the feathers are each a wonderful touch.
ReplyDeleteYour vignette is lovely, as always. I just love to stop by and drool over your photos!
ReplyDeleteHugs, GraceinAZ
Wonderful vignette! I love the feathers!
ReplyDeleteHi Marty
ReplyDeleteLove the plate! Never seen anything like it before. Your display is lovely. It's just perfect and goes so well where you placed it.

LOVE this vignette, Marty! Beautiful! XO, Pinky
ReplyDeleteLe travail raffiné de cette assiette est magnifique...
ReplyDeleteGros bisous
I don't believe this plate is part of set. Two's Company is a giftware line that appears to consist more of individual pieces for decoration rather place settings. Google the company name and you can see the different lines they carry.
ReplyDeleteLove the plate--it caught my eye because I bought one exactly like it yesterday at Goodwill!
You created such a pretty vignette with your new transferware, it pulls in the colors so beautifully. The browns, blacks and white is perfect for the season and I love that gorgeous table runner! Thanks for inspiring me today. Hugs~Poppy

Fabulous look!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I just love the silver urn filled with feathers! Simply stunning!
ReplyDeletep.s. I finally found me a riding hat the other day at a local consignment shop!
Just beautiful, Marty!!
ReplyDeleteYour table is beautiful. I love the brown too.
ReplyDeleteMarty, really lovely plates. Two's Company..if it is the one I am thinking of, it is a company that sells home decor and gift items..I have a frame from Two's Company..My neighbor used to be a sales rep for them..
ReplyDeleteLove the brown and white transfer ware..I just placed two of the plates on a table in my dining room bay window...
Great vignette and isn't it fun when you find a treasure!
Lovely room. I like how you have collected things over the years so it doesn't look like an instant room.
ReplyDeleteLove this vignette Marty!
ReplyDeleteSome of my most favorite things are part of it!

Thanks so much for linking this gorgeous post, Marty.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the 100th TTT, and many hundreds more!

Hi Marty,
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love the shape of it? I do! Your plate is a new plate. It would have been made in China most likely. It is a reproduction of a piece from the Aesthetic Movement period (appx 1870-1910) when this style first came into being and became so popular.
You can read more about the Aesthetic Movement and the see some examples on my post here:
http://nancysdailydish.blogspot.com/2010/03/aesthetic-movement-and-transferware.html
I have been concentrating lately on collecting wares just from this period.
Hope this helps!
