Don't you just love it when you see something so simple and yet so genius and you can copy it? I do. Now who doesn't have a few things that they just need to have within easy reach when they are cooking. I do, and yet I want to keep them organized. Well, my friend had the best idea and I just had to copy her. I try not to be a clean freak, but the kitchen really needs to be clean for me to cook, and this is just the greatest idea, a glass vintage snack tray with dividers, holds everything and washes sparkling clean.
I had all of this sitting on the cutting board, but then I had to take it all off to use the board. This little glass snack tray is just perfect, and there's even a compartment for everything.
See the dividers, they are perfect to hold all my necessary things.
My olive oil bottle and salt grinder fit perfectly on the right and my bottle of seasoned parsley fits in the cup holder on the left.
My shakers of onion and garlic powder and the pepper grinder fill in the center. Now how clever is this. Everything is so handy and still easy to just wash up when it needs it.
Organized and pretty. Gotta' love it.

Just PERFECT!! I am going to raid my cupboard and find one for MY kitchen!

Clean, organized and beautiful.. Gotta love that~!
ReplyDeleteIs it a tray from a snack set. The cup and plate glass sets from the 50's and 60's?
ReplyDeleteCharming!

That's really neat! I love finding new uses for used items. I don't care for 'new stuff' much at all. It costs much more than I would like to spend, and it is so fun repurposing!
ReplyDeleteI love your blog!
I agree. It's not only handy, but pretty too.
ReplyDeleteI love your cutting board Marty!
ReplyDeleteI'm like you, it must be clean before I can cook and I have to wash up as I go otherwise I can't sit and relax and eat what I just cooked if the kitchen is a big mess!
Now that's a great idea. I love those trays, see them all of the time in the thrift stores. I've been using them for jewelry but I think I like this idea even better.
ReplyDeleteSuch a clever idea -- it looks terrific and so usable!

This is a wonderful idea! I have my salt and pepper grinders on a small rectangular tray. A snack tray would leave room for more spices. Great idea!!

Marty, I would have never thought to do that with the snack tray. Now I will have a use for all the ones that I see at the thrift stores.
