With all the family together this year, I wanted to find something for them to do that would be fun for all. Since there are all guys and only my daughter and I, this year I thought it would be fun for all the guys to go to a Cardinals game. I got tickets for them for the January 1st game. Great seats and at super discounted prices. Seems like Jan. 1 didn't sell out, so the prices were a little more than half off. Yip-skip for me. So my sons, grandsons and great-grand will all have a day together.

I am putting the tickets in their stockings, I am so excited, I think they will have a great time together.
This leaves my daughter and I a day of quiet and relaxation. That's a super day for both of us.
Have you found any fun Christmas or after events this season?

ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful gift for the men in your family! The best part is the day with your daughter!;>)
ReplyDeleteSome of our family will be going to the Green Bay Packers CHRISTMAS DAY game. I don't know why they do it on THAT day when there are so many others during the year...but it did fall on a regular Packer Sunday so it is a GO (as in Go-Pack-Go).
I am NOT going so I suppose I will be Christmas-ing with the little ones-which works for me~ xo Diana
sounds like a great gift!
ReplyDeleteMarty,
ReplyDeletewhat a great gift for the guys and an even better gift for you and your daughter:)
You;ll all have a fabulous time~!
Dear Marty,
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful for you and your family! What a success you are! I, on the other hand am a complete failure. Today my four adult children had such an awful and bitter hours-long argument, that I haven't stopped cying. I've started taking all the lovely ornaments down and have decided to do nothing at all ever again. Even the sound of their little children asking them to stop fighting didn't move them. I raised them in a Christian home and have never given them a bad example. I have worked long hours and prayed with them and always placed them foremost in my life. But their selfishness is too much. I wish you and yours all the joy and hapiness that the celebration of the birth of our Savior should bring into our hearts.
What a wonderful gift!
ReplyDeleteHi Marty,
ReplyDeleteThey will so love that, what a thoughtful gal you are!
Football is very big here right now with the Packers doing so well!
But my hubby Dan is a true blue Packer Cheesehead from about the age of 3.
Enjoy my friend!
Big Hugs,
Cindy
P.S. I feel so bad for the comment above me. I wish she had a place we could go and leave her a note.
Anonymous, I am so sorry, this is such a trying time of year. I wish I knew how to reach you. Just keep praying and believe in the Lord, He works wonders. God Bless you. My heart aches for you. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteSounds like a winner gift for the guys, Marty! And you and your daughter can do anything you want! I'm giving 3 granddaughters 6 weeks of gymnastics lessons, and another granddaughter 6 weeks of tennis lessons for Christmas. I think think will love it.....it's fun to give experiences! Linda
