This is how the corner of the breakfastroom has looked with a pedestal holding a fern.

Here it is now with the wine rack. It holds 44 bottles, so that is definitely more than we have on order, but there will be plenty of room for the 18 bottles he has coming and room for me to get some sparkling cider and champagne and still hold some of the placemats.
As you can see, we don't have a lot right now. I do have a fabulous bottle of Chocolate Wine, I can't wait to have some on Christmas Eve. The empty wine slots work great for rolled up placemats. They add a little color and fun to the piece too. So, something different, and no money spent at all - well if you don't count the cost of all the wine on the way. lol
I want to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving and may you be Blessed with all of the Lords Blessing on this special Holiday. We all have so much to be thankful for and I am so thankful for all of you that I have met through blogland. This has been such a wonderful place to exchange ideas and to get to know such special people that I would never have the chance to meet otherwise. You have all enriched my life immensely. God Bless and Happy Holiday.

Excellent Marty!! great wine rack, I would love one like that, where did you get it? I love it.
ReplyDeleteThat looks great Marty and it serves a great purpose and doesnt take up much room.. I actually like it more than the pedestal.. Genius idea~!
ReplyDeleteSO PRETTY!! I HAVE A GIVEAWAY GOING ON SO COME OVER AND VISIT
ReplyDeleteLove the multi-purpose use you're getting from the wine rack. I'm always drawn to pieces with shelves or drawers for storage. One can never have enough storage!
ReplyDeleteCan never have too much storage and you already are looking outside of the box with placemat storage...great!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving Marty!
I think it is perfect -- useful -- you still have your fern and you have additional storage for placemats -- I think it is a win/win.
ReplyDeleteGenius! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHave a Blessed Thanksgiving my dear friend..Hugs and smiles Gloria
ReplyDeleteVery clever Marty! I love that look :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
Blessings!

It's pretty and practical, Marty! I love how you put placemats in some extra spaces!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great wine rack, Marty! I'm actually having to deal with the same thing right now. We had a crappy metal rack with a glass top and brought it with us when we moved but I've been wanting to get something nicer. It can't be too big though and yours looks the perfect size. My hubby came late to the wine party, but does pick up a few bottles from time to time. I'd really like to get them off the floor and into a rack.
ReplyDeleteI really like your cornicopia arrangement on your table too! Happy Thanksgiving to you, Marty!
ReplyDeleteGreat wine rack. I think it looks even better than the pedestal. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteClever, clever lady!!! Happy Tday to you and your sweet family!! Love you bunches, Kathysue
ReplyDeleteWhat a great wine rack, Marty! I love it AND the multipurposes you've given it. Great idea rolling up the mats for added color. Great job!
ReplyDeleteSuch an inviting and warm dining room, Marty! Great ideas for storing not only wine but the placemats, too. I'm so looking forward to joing you for the Christmas Tablescapes again, this year. I've been away from the decorating part of blogging for most of this year. See you again soon. Have a Happy Thanksgiving.

Hi Marty, love what you do with your space! So inviting and homey! Makes me wan to visit you! Your picture of the old man praying is special and says a lot to me. Those pics are hard to find. I don't think I've ever seen a cornucopia so large. I like it.
