I have been doing a lot of thinking about Thanksgiving and thought I would change my huge cloche to something other than pumpkins and reflect the serious side of the season a little better.
I want our Thanksgiving to reflect all that we have to be thankful for. A beautiful covered Bible and a Crocheted cross reminds us to thank the Lord for all of our Blessings.
Just a simple change, but one that helps to put the season in focus.
Have you counted your Blessings today?

ReplyDeleteNice thoughts for keeping us focused on how blessed we are. It is ironic that you have that crocheted cross in the cloche. My Mom saw yours in your post sometime in Oct. and liked it very much. She said she loved the pattern and asked if I could make one for her for Christmas. I had made her one which she has used for years but she loves yours. Did you make it? If so do you know if the pattern is still available? Hope you have a nice weekend!

Marty, I think this is one of your best cloche things. It really keeps the focus on the main thing doesn't it! Plus so pretty--the way you have done it.

ReplyDeleteMarty,
ReplyDeleteYou are so right about being thankful. We were without power last week for 3 days with a freaky snowstorm. It could have been worse. I was thankful for a generator, which gave us one light in the LR, ran our fridge, and a small heater. Blessings to you this holiday season.
Hugs,
Debbie
