Last week I showed you two gorgeous dog paintings that I found at a garage sale. I just needed frames for them and to figure out a place to hang them. As you have all seen, my house is tons of windows and NO walls. I have to quit finding art, I am totally out of walls.
I changed out the dark hydrangea in the pocket with an orange hydrangea and added a couple more feathers to balance the pictures.
Love these wonderful Spaniel paintings.

looks great Marty.. that dog art is the perfect touch on that wall.. love the new frames too.
ReplyDeleteOh Marty -
ReplyDeleteLove your dog pictures and the frames you chose. I agree....I like it much better too but I have to say I'm partial to animals. Like you, I pick up art, and then try to figure out what to do with it when I get home. It must stop but I'm afraid that won't happen. You have great style!

How pretty! I am like you... more windows than walls. It makes it hard to decorate. I love the mirror and your new pictures!
ReplyDeletePefect, Marty. I love those dog pictures and great frames.
ReplyDeleteThose look lovely Marty! A Perfect spot for them!
ReplyDeleteI really like the prints better,...not that the other was bad...this is just fresher I think..and you can't go wrong with doggies!!
ReplyDeleteLooks lovely. I realy like the almost matching frames. Does look like you collected over time. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog for my TTT entry.
ReplyDeleteWhat sweet dog pictures Marty!
ReplyDeleteHope it is cooling down your way. We are still quite warm for us- I think it was 92 today and with cloud cover it is very humid feeling!
Our ministry building is getting a facelift! Arrived this morning to see some guys changing out windows and painting!! WHat a blessing! It will be so great having windows fixed. The sills had rotted out and the windows had slipped about 1/2 inch into the rotted sill which left a gap for wind, dirt and in the winter cold to come in! How nice and toasty we will be this winter now!!

ReplyDeleteCute dog prints and I love the gorgeous frames... I have the same problem... more windows than wall space. I get tempted to buy wall art but not much wall space. Your living room always looks picture perfect! Have a lovely evening!~Poppy

You are so good at pairing up your pictures and frames, Marty, and this pair does not disappoint! I like this as change from your corbel. I can understand the wall space issue. I believe I may have to deal with that once we move.
ReplyDeleteLove the paintings Marty and you found the perfect frames for them! Gotta love Home Goods! Martina

Getting ready for Hawaii?
:)
You could;t have chosen a better place. I love the juxtaposition of the round mirror with the square frames. Perfect! Such sweet prints and the frames were simply made for these prints...and your home.
ReplyDeleteThe dog pictures sure add more life and a touch of whimsy. Love it. I also love your round mirror...where did you find that? Toni
ReplyDeleteLove the change ups. The spaniels look right at home there. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteGinger
I love the frames, and I wouldn't have thought to make them complimentary but different to make it look like you had collected them over time. Time would have been matchy matchy, and it wouldn't have looked as nice.
ReplyDeleteMarty, looks wonderful! Great find on the frames and I really like that you got differant frames for each picture. I tend to be to match things far to much, trying to break the habit.
ReplyDeleteSandy
I really like your spaniel prints, Marty. You know, your round mirror (gorgeous!) looks almost like a porthole window :).
ReplyDeleteMarty,
ReplyDeleteLiking the new look...hoping to get some Fall decor out this week.
Blessings,
Linda
Marty,
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely pictures and the frames are perfect!! A truly stunning wall grouping perfect for Fall!
You are out of wall space, did you say?????

I like it much better, too!
ReplyDeleteHi Marty. Perfect! They look great next to your mirror and the whole arrangement looks nice and balanced. You got a great deal on those little paintings!
ReplyDeleteMarty,
ReplyDeleteI adore your wall grouping, dear. Very fitting since it has truly been "The Dog Days of Summer" far too long this year! Your home is lovely!
Fondly,
Pat
I love the dog paintings, and I really like the way you grouped everything together. Looks great!
ReplyDeleteThe dog pictures are perfect there. Good find!
ReplyDeleteYour living room is so beautiful and so inviting, I ove it that it already has that fallish atmosphere to it. The spaniel pictures are adorable, I love dogs and collect everything with them, specially figurines, but I'd love to have artwork. See you soon. Lots of hugs. FABBY
ReplyDeleteThe pictures are so sweet and that you choose different frame is very smart looking! The wall pocket and florals complete a lovely look!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking to Potpourri Friday and helping to make it a success! I appreciate you!
Love the room. Very bright and beautiful. So is the dog art in your wall, very cute.
ReplyDeleteMarty, I really like the two wonderful dog pictures on the wall. The pictures and the frames have a wonderful "old world regal" feel to them. Great finds! Thank you for joining TTF and I hope you have a fun weekend! hugs, Diann :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming to the party. I'm working on the wall over my sofa right now. Haven't made much progress!

XXOO Diane
I love the new look. I really LOVE those dog pictures. That was a great find at a garage sale. I also have very few walls, and many windows, so I find myself always changing out the wall grouping to give it a new look for each season. You are really good at vignettes and grouping. I sadly am not!
ReplyDeleteHi Marty, I just love the warmth of this room, and as much as it gives you little wall space, the lighting is incredable. And you sure have utalized the space very well. Don't ya just love home goods?
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Ellen
Marty,
