78th Table Top Tuesday


Welcome to the 78th Table Top Tuesday. 


 Because of space limitations, I have a very small end table between the two leather chairs in the familyroom.  One of these chairs is DH's recliner and so I have to keep the table top really as open as possible so he has room for a small snack and drink. 


 Trying to create an interesting vignette is hard on such a small surface.  The anniversary clock has to stay, he loves it so he can check the time and the TV guide.  So simple it is.


 A couple of tiny books with my new dog figurine on top and a glass egg.  That just about does it.


 Such a cute little guy.  Love that little face.


 Simple and masculine for his little table.

  11. What a cute little guy. (just don't tell my kitties I said that). :) I have the same problem. We have a smaller granite topped table between our two recliners. Besides a lamp, that seems to be all I have because it holds two glasses (at night), Bill's reading glasses, my reading glasses, Bill's peanuts, etc etc. Sometimes function does have to come before fashion. LOL Hugs

  12. You're little pug is adorable, it is a pug and they touch my heart always, as we lost our "real" 13 yr. old pug Benny last year and I still miss him so very much! I also love the ends of your small table, it has a nice job, I love things like that. Have a nice week dear Marty. Lots of hugs to you.

  17. Pretty and functional vignette. I understand the need for a place to put a glass or snack down on a side table. Most of my tables only have a few items on them too. While you may have a few items, they are "choice" items.

  19. Thanks for hosting, Marty! I know I have to keepy hubby's table clear off, too. Drink, remotes that's about it for him! We'll see what happens once we downsize though; I'm going to need every inch for display, so he's gonna have to use a smaller cup and remotes. ; )

  22. What about hubby's remote? We have 2 remote controls and David often falls asleep in his chair with a remote in each hand! Men like their lives organized a certain way with no changes don't they??? Thanks for hosting Marty ~ it's always a fun party.

  28. That dog is just too cute Marty...you know my battle with my hubby...nothing on top of the table but the remote caddy....I even have a floor lamp because he doesn't want a lamp there.

    So, I get it!

  42. Hi, Marty! I've really been missing your posts but I've been away from blogging for awhile. I think I just got burned out with it plus it was taking up a lot of my time that I felt I needed to devote somewhere else. I look forward to reading your posts though and catching up with you. I love your blog so much. You have such a gift for design. Sure wish I did. I never seem to get things "just right"...or maybe I'm just too picky:) I love the little dog...that face is just too cute.   46. It is nice to see "real life" depicted in your post about how you have to leave room for your hubby's items on the small end table. You could just have easily decorated it ALL up for the pics you took and not have been "realistic". You did a terrific job revamping that pooch and he looks wonderful in his new spot.
