Remember I showed you all these hundreds of pots that DH asked me to organize by size and then
clean off this rack and stack them neatly!!!! Well, I'm still not done and I think I have grumped a little about so many pots and how we need to get rid of some of them. (OK, I grumped a lot)

Well, now I feel really bad. We don't do Valentine's. Never have. Then when I woke up this morning, this was sitting on the kitchen counter, with the most wonderful card that said how much he appreciated how I have always been his biggest fan and HELPER. Geeeezzzzeeee! I didn't even buy a card for him.
Hope you are all having a wonderful Valentines. Now I am going to go finish stacking pots.

How sweet! You deserve it Marty!
ReplyDeleteAw, what a sweet guy you have!
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day!
:)
Kelly
What a nice surprise! Flowers AND candy!
ReplyDeleteWe don't celebrate it much either. I made a big deal about it the first few Valentine's Days and was then told that he thought it was a goofy holiday... Hmmm. But 24 years later, he's still a great, loving man who just doesn't like to make a big deal out of Feb 14th. :)
Enjoy your day!
Pam
What a sweetie he is, a "keeper" for sure. Maybe he is using a little reverse phochology so you will get going on those pots????? No, just kidding, that is so touching.

Happy Valentine's to you! Always love stopping in for a visit to your blog!
ReplyDeleteThat's so sweet!
ReplyDeleteDon't feel bad Marty, you deserve it girl!
My hubby always says that Valentine's Day is more for women than men anyway.
Hugs,
Happy Valentine's too,
Cindy
Awwwww.... he must have felt bad about asking you to do that. We don't do flowers and candy or cards either. One thing our anniversary is in a week. We just don't do both. The flowers are lovely and now you have candy for energy!
ReplyDeleteHi Marty! You have such a sweetie! Good luck with the pots!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
~Holly
What a sweet thing he did for you! Yeah, I guess it is time to suck it up and get those pots done girl!
ReplyDeleteBarb
Marty,
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely outward expression of his love for you! Now. . .that husband really knows how to appreciate a wife's hard work! ! !
Isn't that just the sweetest box of chocolates and most beautiful flowers? ? ? Have a romantic Valentine's Day, once you've finished sorting and stacking those clay pots!
Fondly,
Pat
We don't do Valentines much other than cards because my birthday is in a few days...glad to hear others don't do much either otherwise I would have thought I got robbed of that holiday, like the Christmas babies..but isn't it a great surprise when it happens?
ReplyDeleteHe's a keeper. Frankly, I think I'd rather have someone organize something for me than get me a box of chocolates, maybe that's what he was trying to say, he's grateful for your act of love.
ReplyDeleteThat's pretty special. We don't do Valentine's either. I did get LBeau a card this year, but I'm not expecting one. I did buy some pretty tulips at the grocery this morning just to have something to brighten the house. Thanks for sharing your special gift.
ReplyDeleteOh, how sweet! They are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHave fun stacking those pots.
Hi there and Happy Valentine's Day.
ReplyDeleteLoved this post as hubby and I don't exchange gifts today either~I wasn't even going to buy cards but he insisted. So this morning I went to the grocery store and had planned to get him fresh flowers(he loves having flowers in our home)but when we looked at the bouquet, he smiled and said no but he loved the thought.
So I think it is perfect that your honey got you flowers-you deserve them.
Hugs,
Noreen
Marty, cute post... Happy Valentine's Day...
ReplyDeletePattie
Oh Marty, that is so sweet! We don't celebrate Valentines Day either. We both feel we celebrate our love everyday.

ReplyDeleteHA! You night want to hit the Hallmark store too!
ReplyDelete:)HUGS! Karen
Too funny, Marty. Same thing happened to me. We have been away this weekend--didn't get to a store before we left nor while we were away. I hate to say, I didn't even think of it either.....but this morning I got up--the coffee was made, a box of chocolates and a wonderful card was sitting next to my mug.
ReplyDeleteSo, we are having a steak dinner--by candle light--romantic music -- a card and a one pound bag of salted peanuts. Have a great day. Madelyn
Don't you love it when they do that! How lovely was his gesture!
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day to you and your family! If you have time, please stop by for dessert! It's sinfully delicious!
Mary
How about stacking them in the shape of a heart. He will get the message.
ReplyDeleteAwwww... I love this, and they're beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLucky you, to be strolling through life with a good man.
By the way, I love your header. I didn't get here to see the first one that you tried, but I saw this and have tried....TRIED to do one myself following your link.
I just got consumed with it and forgot to tell you on THAT post. Good grief.
Mine looks dumb. I'm going to keep on trying.
Aww, Marty! How sweet of Hubby. What a nice way to show you how much he appreciates you. Don't feel bad, though, make him a nice dinner tonight and call it even LOL!!!

ReplyDeleteso now you know that even after all these years he can still suprise you! Wonderful! Happy Valentines Day!
ReplyDeleteOkay, Marty- do you really use all these pots? LOL I think our men do nice things for us without ever really thinking that we've been "mean" to them or not. Just savor your goodies and know he loves ya!
