54th Table Top Tuesday-Spring Cloche Party Reminder


Welcome to the 54th Table Top Tuesday. I so look forward to all of your wonderful vignettes.  I have a

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
I am on my way to Oregon to help take care of my grandson who was hurt in a skiing accident.  He broke both legs.  They put rods and pins in both legs and he is going to be fine.  My son just needs a little help taking care of him at home.  I will have limited time to make the rounds, however I will check in when I can.  I have a post scheduled for next week so the party will go on as usual.  I also have one scheduled for the Spring Cloche Party.  I look forward to visiting everyone when I get back.
 
                                                 OK, on with the party.

This vignette on the drop leaf table by my chair has been here for a while, so time to change it up.


 Love my Rooster lamp I found at GW and the Honey Bunch book is one of my favorites.  The old doorknob is off of the farmhouse that I was born in.  A precious treasure.


 I'm so in the mood for spring, so I thought I would change it out and add a few flowers.


I like to keep it really simple so there's plenty of room for a snack and something to drink.


 My thrifty cache pot worked great for some garage sale lime colored hydrangeas.  The little brass apple I've had for years.


 A decorating book that I'm re-reading and of course my reading glasses with a little bling.


 Just a touch of sunshine to this corner.

  6. Both legs broken! Is this the same grandson who was in the terrible accident a few years ago?

    Be safe traveling! We are going to OR later in March for a conference. First time I will have experienced Oregon.

  9. Sending special hugs to Oregon for your grandson's recovery Marty. We went through this with our son when he was 19.It is hard for the patient and hard for the caregivers too. My son often speaks of the love that surrounded him during those dark months and how it meant so much to him.

  12. Marty, I am so sorry about your grandson! I am glad he is going to be ok but I can not imagine breaking both my legs. At least it is just Oregon, my niece had a ski accident in France last yr with a head injury..what a nightmare at least my brother in law is a MD, she is fine now.
    I am sure he will be glad to see his grandmother!

  17. I can not believe that you found that great rooster lamp at GW, Marty! What a find! I'm with you on bringing a little bit of Spring and sunshine into our homes now. I just filled one of my apothecary jars with something that I keep out now through the Summer {which I'll probably include in the cloche party}. Looking forward to that cloche party. I've been thinking about what I could put under mine!

  28. Marty I'm so sorry to hear about your grandson. That's awful! But thankfully the young do heal quickly. I've broken both my legs (not at the same time) and it's not fun!
    On a completely different note your corner of the livingroom looks so happy and sunny!   35. Oh Marty, I'm so sorry about your grandson's accident. I know your son and grandson will both be so glad to see you arrive to help. You'll probably be vignetting at their house! I even do it in hotel rooms. Anything looks great with that wonderful rooster lamp. The Nina Campbell book looks like a great read, but I have a feeling you're not sitting around flipping pages in it often. You are so busy. Take care of you while you're taking care of your grandson.   41. All the best to your grandson, his father and most especially, you. My sister had a similar break 4 years ago although it was only one leg. Takes awhile, that's for sure, but they do recover.

Grandmother's can be such a special help.. I just spent two weeks with my granddaughter in the hospital.. it is a blessing to be able to help them when they need you.

    Blogger seems to have a problem with the thumbnail of your (our!) first photo that is not showing on the sidebar of other bloggers... To fix it do the following, as I managed to do and solve it right away (you do this for each new blog and the present one!):
