I am so sorry the weather has been so bad for most of the country, however it has been fabulous here, so I got out the spray paint to revamp a tray that I've been wanting to redo.
I love the shape and size of this tray, but the bright white just doesn't work in my house.
The color works great with my furniture. I put it on the ottoman for now, but I can see it all over the house.
I have a couple of lanterns that are white and want to change them too. I removed the glass and gave them a very light sanding.
A couple of coats of ORB and I like them so much better.
There are a few more projects that I have to paint, but for today I am done. Are you painting anything?
I am linking to Susan for Metamorphosis Monday
Karen for Amaze Me Monday
Thanks so much for stopping by, I always look forward to your visits.

oooh...I love the tray make over. I am going to have to try using the stain on some of my spray painted goodies. Love how it ages it and looks gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI found a pair of scissors 24 inches long that I am going to ORB treat and then display in my office. You won't believe what an ugly color they are. Will post the before and afters of them.

Marty,
ReplyDeleteTemperatures on the prairie haven't been consistent enough to do the actual spray painting. .. instead, I gave a verbal list to "Mr. Ed" for our upcoming Spring! HA! Believe me the man is good at his work, but I'll have to give a written "Honey Do" list for him to check off to accomplish the projects! Your tray and your lantern look wonderful! Now let's see them in some more post, please!
Fondly,
Pat
The transformation is wonderful. The deeper color gives the pieces more character.
ReplyDeleteIt's too cold here to be spray painting anything.
Have a great week! La

Great job Marty!
ReplyDeleteI have to giggle though, because I would do them in the reverse and they would be white!
However, these colors are perfect for your home.
