I am so thrilled, the plaid sofa in the familyroom is gone, so I could switch all the furniture around. I gave it to a friend, a blessing for him and for me. Yip-Skip!!!!
This is what the living room has looked like for a while with two sofas. A little crowded and mismatched for such a small room.
Ta-Da, this is what it looks like now. So much better and it looks so much bigger. Love it.
This was the family room with the plaid sofa.

Marty, I love the new arrangement! I bet that throw on the ottoman is super cozy and warm. And the couch in the other room blends in absolutely perfectly with the walls. Great idea!

Beautiful...I love getting more space when I delete something...lets you breathe more!!! Your leather chair is gorgeous also!!!
ReplyDeleteIt really does look much better. Isn't it funny how changing one or two things make such a difference? We just gave our couch, chair, bookcase and freezer to our painter and it was such a blessing for him and for us. I am happy that you did the same thing to bless someone.
ReplyDeleteYour home is beautiful. That was a great idea to mix it up some. Came out very nice.
ReplyDeleteMarty, both rooms turned out great. Love the arm chair in the living room with the ottman next to it....I want to come sit and visit!

ReplyDeleteI love what you've done with your rooms! Do you want to come help me? My house is completely torn apart because new carpet is coming tomorrow! And when things are put back I may come up with a new plan. Some things will stay - and some may go. Your home is an inspiration to me. I've spent a lot of time looking and enjoying and oohing and ahing!

I know this is an old post but I was roaming around your side bar. I love your living room. I have almost the same coffee table. I am interested in your window treatments. Are they custom? Also, I was wondering if you were ever tempted to join the "paint everything white" club? I love the white look but EVERYTHING I have is stained wood. You have made a lovely home for your family. Well done.
