Time to take the shells out of the bathroom and add a little fall color. Our bathroom is not all that big and I like to try and leave the counter as clear as possible, but I still want a little decoration. I took the cloche out with the shells and replaced it with a ginger jar filled with fall color and a wonderful scented candle.
Adds just a touch of fall without taking up too much space.
A few feathers, beaded grass and fall leaves all work well with the one hydrangia bloom.
The ginger jar is one I found at a thrift store years ago. I loved the colors. The candle sits on a gold coaster.
I love this picture. It has the most wonderful fall scene, and looks so peaceful. I switched out the towels to a rusty orange color and that was about all that was needed.
The tissue holder, clock and lotion dispenser are all ones that I sprayed with ORB a couple of years ago. Everyday necessities.
Simple changes, but it speaks a little of fall when you walk in.
I am linking to Susan @ Between Naps On The Porch for Metamorphosis Monday. Be sure to visit her and see all the wonderful changes taking place all over blogland.

I don't Autumnize (is that a word) my bathroom--gee, I think I'm gonna try it--my hubby might think he's in the wrong bathroom.
You make it look so simple...
;)
My bath has the same layout as yours, only my cabinets are white...
Thank you, yet again, for the inspiration!

Oh I love your bathroom. well your whole house really.I hope when my kids get older I can get some pretty colored towels like yours! I just love that brown & orange together. I just use plain white towels cuz with these kids- I need to be able to bleach'em! =)
ReplyDeleteYour bathroom is so pretty. you are one of the folks I wish i could get down here (over here, up here-whatever, I'm in Upstate SC) to help me decorate my house. It is naked-truly. Not one picture or anything on the walls. I have got to get it together. With inspiring blogs like yours- I will! Thanks so much for sharing your ideas!!!!
Be blessed,
Karyl
Of course, very lovely as ever! :)
ReplyDelete~Liz

Just lovely, Marty, and what soft shades you chose!
ReplyDeleteJust the right amount of change to look Fallish and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI rarely do anything in the bathrooms. I don't have much counter space and I might add a holiday decoration, but between the hand towel, kleenix, soap and lotions...no room for flowers. Yours looks lovely.
