This is what you are use to seeing. (Sorry for the bad quality, it was a pic of a pic.)

Now the new me. New hairstyle, new makeup, the works!!!

Short and sassy.

See, it is REALLY short. I think it needs a little bit heavier frosting, but otherwise I like it for a change.

A lot more wrinkles since the first pic, but hey, I earned every one of them, and I'm learning to wear them well. lol The make up specialist switched me out to just a tinted moisturizer. It gives the skin a little bit of a glow, and it doesn't settle into those beloved wrinkles. We need to remember to update our makeup every once in a while too.

I've changed out my profile photo to this one. If you see me on the street, I want you to be able to recognize me and be sure to stop and say hello.
So, how long since you did a complete makeover?
Thanks so much for stopping by, I always appreciate your visits.

You look fabulous, Marty! I am just starting to learn to appreciate the face that has been looking back at me in recent months. I just feel more aware of my age and myself in general, having quit smoking in May of this year. I did get a little bit of a new hairstyle a month ago, but nothing major going on yet!
ReplyDeleteHi Marty,
ReplyDeleteYou really are such a beautiful woman, both inside and out and you glow with confidence. You are such an inspiration to all of us with your beautiful blog posts and your creative ideas.
I love your cute, short haircut, it's you and your make-up looks natural and pretty.
I try my best to look good everyday and wouldn't think of leaving the house without make-up!
My photo on my blog is current, but it doesn't hurt to get a new look every now and then.
hugs
Sissie
What a gorgeous woman you are! I love the new picture!
ReplyDeleteYou look fabulous, truly you do.. No amount of years or wrinkles can take away from the beauty that shows in your twinkling eyes and beautiful smile. you arent getting older, you're getting Better and Better and Better.
ReplyDeletehugs
Sonny
You are beautiful, Marty. I LOVE the new haircut!!
ReplyDeleteAs for me, I recently (2 weeks ago) stopped highlighting my hair such a light blonde and am going with a light brown. We had new family photos taken last week, so, as soon as one of my kids downloads them for me, I'll be changing my profile photo from the 4 year old one I've been using. So, pretty soon, you'll be seeing a new profile photo of me too...and wondering who in the world it is.
Have a lovely evening,
Patti
You look fabulous my dear!! I love the new look.
ReplyDeleteI just recently did a switch too. I posted about it here...

You look great, I like the new haircut. Usually every couple of years I do not get my hair cut and let it get long, this year I cut it and I am very happy with the new look. Sometimes I let my gray grow out too and not bother to dye it. It really does not bother me as much as it does my girlfriends, I think they are afraid of looking old by association.
ReplyDeleteMarty -- you're a lovely woman! Love your new look -- I decided this year I would post a picture of myself every birthday -- I won't like it...but like you, I want folks to know the "real" me.
ReplyDeleteMarty you are gorgeous. What to do with no more blue background? I can't wait for your next comment. It will take some getting used to, but what a great before and after! Thanks for sharing. Is that the camera you use to take all your fabulous pictures. What kind is it?
ReplyDeleteWell, I think you look wonderful and I love the newer "do"! I need to do the same and go for some change. I've had the same basic hairstyle for years now. Every time I try to change...whooops... the old Debbie sneaks back into my mirror.
ReplyDeleteHere's to one good looking chick strolling through life!
And by the way... you have a stunning smile!
ReplyDeleteI'm a little older than you and I've been thinking about coloring my hair. You are making me think it's TIME. I like you hair style, cut and sassy! Age is just a number, attitude and good health are where it is at....! No rocking chairs for these "Grannys"! LOL
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful smile you have!:) I love your new do too! You are stunning!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandra
Marty, I love your new profile picture. If I saw you on the street, I would never in a million years guess you were 71! I love your thoughts on wrinkles, I feel the same way about both the wrinkles and my gray hair. I call them my "earned highlights". Good for you for doing a makeover, I really need to get with that program, I'm in a RUT! Hugs, Kat
ReplyDeleteYou look fabulous, Miss Marty!
ReplyDeleteLove you,
S
xo
You look beautiful and I can't believe your age!! I wouldn't have recognized you because of the difference in hair color. A cute hairdo ! I am a bit frustrated with my oh so tweedy hair, but I tend to react to hair color so I am oh natural and it makes me look 20 years older, I do believe!
ReplyDeleteGreat photo Love it!
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful Marty-I love it! I always say, the only thing I've held on to for 20 years is a bad hair cut-maybe I need to shake things up too:@)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Marty! You are braver than me. I haven't put my photo on here yet. Well beyond the age of 6. LOL
ReplyDeleteSherry
Beloved Marty! I love the NEW YOU! Every bit of it too! I agree with you...every nook & cranny of a new wrinkle brings satisfaction to me too, and I've certainly earned them! I think I'm having more trouble with my skinny neck getting skinnier than I am with my wrinkles debuting from time to time. haha! I'm a huge fan of yours, even though I don't get to visit as often as I'd like. As long as I'm a workin gal, I'll have to deal with less time blogging... :( Darn... But I am "Blessed" to be working...and I've very grateful for that! Huge blessing! Ciao for now my Friend! LOVE THE YOU! ;)
ReplyDeleteOh, Marty, you look SMASHING! ... still!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely eve ~
TTFN ~ Hugs, Marydon
Marty I think you look great! I can't believe you're 71. You really look much younger. I think a makeover is definitely something we should all do. My profile picture is about five years old but as I look in the mirror, I have gained more wrinkles too.
ReplyDeleteMarty,
ReplyDeleteWow! You so don't look your age..you look marvelous darling!! I love your hairstyle..and your makeup is so natural looking..lets your natural beauty shine through!
Fabulous makeover!!
Miss Bloomers
Marty you are beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteMarty, you look great! Your eyes are beautiful & I love your smile!!!
ReplyDeleteThe nicest part about growing older is the fact that we don't have to be anyone who we AREN'T! You look amazing ... I approach seventy next year, I have you for a role model!!!!
ReplyDeleteI think my heart grew fonder of you just seeing that wonderful smile in the photos and the twinkle in your eyes. I think you are beautiful and the new cut and color are pefect for fall.
ReplyDeleteHi Marty! Oh, I love your new look!
ReplyDelete"You look mahvelous, dahling... absolutely mahvelous"
I always enjoy visiting with you... Karen
You look wonderful, Marty. I really like the new hair style. After years of struggling with my super straight hair (in years when curls were so popular)I now love my hairstlye. It makes me feel very confident. However, as I struggle with my weight, I hate taking photos of myself. Funny enough, tomorrow is the annual picture day at our school, staff included :(
ReplyDeleteMarty,
ReplyDeleteI must say that you are as beautiful today as you were 10+ years ago, both inside and out!
My mom just went to her class reunion as was told over and over again "that she was a clone of her self". She was wondering if that meant she looked old in highschool, but in reality, she still looks much younger than her years! In fact I was looking at her photos from the weekend, and thought maybe she had gone to the wrong reunion! You remind me of her!
Marty, I wanted to let you know, that your comments over the past year have meant so much to me. I can remember back to the beginning of my blogging, when comments were few and far between, but over and over again, your sweet face would show up and fill my "in box" with encouraging words and smiles. I love to see where blogging has brought you, your cloche parties and tabletop tuesdays are so much fun ! God bless...
Dee Dee
Lookin Good! It's the first time on your blog, just surfing around, and I saw your makeover. I really like the new hairdo and color and your face is radiant! I'm 54 and I would hope to look this nice when I turn 70!! You are an inspiration! Elly Mae
ReplyDeleteYou look great! I do like your hair.
ReplyDeleteMine is thin, wispy and pitiful and I need a miracle. I think me and my blog need a redo! :-D
You look SO cute in that new cute haircut!! I love tinted moisturizer too. I discovered the Clinique one when I was about 34. You just look fabulous and no way are you 71!!
ReplyDeleteGood for you. You inspire me not to worry about approaching my mid sixties!!
ReplyDeleteOh Marty, you look beautiful!! LOVE the new 'do!!!
ReplyDelete{{{{HUGS}}}}
It looks fabulous! I like the color and the cut. I went from longer (mid shoulder blade) to a short stack last spring. I'm ready to grow it out for the colder months. La
ReplyDeleteShort and Sassy looks good on you! No one would think you were 71! I've been trying to let my really short do grow out just a smidge so I could have a little bit of a diffferent style. You look great, honey!
ReplyDeleteyou are the cutest, sassiet thing!! Love your new look!!!
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYou look great Marty! It is so fun to treat ourselves to a change now and then and I just have to say that you look waaaayyyy younger than 71! :-)

Pretty lady! I know you are also beautiful on the inside, it just shines through your comments, blog, etc!
ReplyDeleteI did my makeover recently, used a picture taken right after my 70th birthday. I think I may do another one soon, as this one doesn't seem to be big enough.
Katherine
Oh my goodness Marty, your new look is beautiful! I liked you before anyway, but I will have to get use to this new hot mama. lol I think we all need a makeover every now and then. Im in need of a post baby makeover. lol
ReplyDeleteMarty you can rock it! I saw the picture change on another blog, I did a double take...you look darned good, and when I am 71, I hope I am blogging, and table scaping, decorating and doing all the fun things you are. I made a mention of you tonight on my blog.
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous Marty! :)

You look beautiful! I love the new makeover! As a SAHM I don't really update my look as I should. The last time I did a makeover was when I first started dating my husband, it's been a while, lol!
ReplyDeleteHoly Cow Marty you look gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteI love, love the new do and the color is so flattering to your skin tone.
Way to go you foxy lady!

Cindy

Your makeover looks fantastic. I had no idea you were older than I--although not by much. I haven't had an update in years. Maybe it's time.
ReplyDeleteYou look FANTASTIC! Love the makeover. I think I need a makeover and I'm only 50.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Thursday.
Gail
What a fabulous makeover...you look beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYou look fabulous! :) What a lovely lady. Beautiful!:)
ReplyDeleteAt 44, I am trying to get used to the new lines forming and the sagging of skin where it used to be firm. I'm afraid I'm not accepting aging as well as I'd like. :( A makeover would be nice but I have no idea when I'd find the time.
You give us older ladies hope! I'm 60 now, but use a picture from 55! Maybe it's time I updated too. Thanks so much for your blog.
ReplyDeleteA fabulous looking lady who strolls thru life!
ReplyDeleteI love your new look.
Marty, what a wonderful smile you have...you are lovely. I love your blog..your such an inspiration to me. Hugs...Sue in Ohio

So while taking the pictures - how did you keep from cracking up? (hehehe)
I don't know if I will recognize you next time I see you!
BIG HUGS! Karen
Just as beautiful outside as inside! Love the new hair. I hope I am as energetic as you are at 71.hugs♥olive
ReplyDeleteI like sassy!!! Great pictures and from the wonderful comments you have left for me, I feel like you are an awesome person inside and out!!! Love the new look!
ReplyDeleteYou are an inspiration for all of us! Joan
ReplyDeleteGirlfriend, you are beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteMarty,
ReplyDeleteI love the new YOU! !!
I wouldn't highlight. . .as an ex-beautician, highlighting adds years NOT subtracts them! Also makes wrinkles MORE noticeable. . .
so keep what you've got! Darling, you look FABULOUS!
Thanks for sharing!
Fondly,
Pat
Love the new look Marty you wear it well!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful you : )
If I am as blessed as you are to live until I am 70-I pray I will look as good as you do! I love the makeover-you look gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and classy! Love the pix!
ReplyDeleteMarty, some how I missed this post. I love your new look. Great sassy hair. It is a lot like mine so of course I approve. You certainly don't look 71. Isn't change fun!!
ReplyDeleteWow! Marty, you do look great with your new makeover!
ReplyDeleteI have been making over myself since April (pictures on my blog sideboard). I have lost 52 pounds and still have 8 to go. In August I got a new hairstyle and clothes but need new ones again. I can't wait for my final reveal on my 38th birthday Oct. 14.
You look great Marty, I think the darker color is great!!
ReplyDeleteLinda
You go girl! You're beautiful ... inside and out!
ReplyDeleteWell no wonder I was flabbergasted when I found out you're a great-grandma; you're far too young to be one! And you look a whole lot closer to 60 than 71, let me tell you.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your makeover Marty - you look great!!!
ReplyDeleteI think you look beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy you blog so much and appreciate the time you put into it. I check on you everyday.
ReplyDeleteYou look great. Maybe that's what I need a makeover.
Marty,
ReplyDeleteI love the new look, you look so beautiful and the color is fantastic. We all like to do an upgrade every once in a while and you totally deserve it. I too did a bit of a hair makeover recently and loved it when I got carded the next day, HA, that girl must have been slightly drunk ;-) Your beautiful new look goes with your wonderful sweet personality.
So sorry I missed this the other day! But better late then never right! You look so wonderful Marty! I still cannot believe you are 71. I have not had a makeover in some time! Nor have I changed out my makeup in sometime either. Hmm...now you got me thinking! If I knew mine would turn out as good as yours I'd do it right away! Thanks for the reminder.
ReplyDeleteMarty, you REALLY DO NOT look like you are 71 years old! What a cutie pie you are. Love the short hair cut. I don't think I've done a makeover since college!! It certainly is time that I did one! I sure hope mine turns out as great as yours, but I'm afraid they don't have as much to work with on me! I'm afraid the makeover artist will say to me: "I'm a beautitian, not a magician"!! laurie
ReplyDeleteYou look wonderful, and so does your blog. This background color is exactly what I'd like to put on my dining room wall!
ReplyDelete=)
Oh, Marty! You are so pretty! I love the new you...I loved your "before" look, too...but you look so cute and sassy! I do hope one day I WILL get to see you in person! Have a great weekend!...hugs...Debbie
ReplyDeleteWOW, Marty you look absolutely terrific!
ReplyDeleteYou're a beautiful lady with a beautiful heart and home!
ReplyDeleteTeri
Speaking for myself, I get used to the way I am, but when I get a makeover of sorts, I LOVE it! It's been a year since I've had my hair done and about three on the makeup.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your new look, you're gorgeous with a gorgeous smile, and you look happy with your new "sassy" do!
You look fabulous. And what an inspiration!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Marty, You are so very beautiful and I love the new photo of you! I would have never guessed your age, never ever...love the hair style and you are correct it's very sassy! You are quite a lady and it's been a pleasure having the opportunity to meet you through blogging! Cheer Cheer to many more beautiful years with beautiful woman like you!
