A Fun Day At Goodwill and Treasures

My company has gone home and the house is back to normal, so I treated myself to a little shopping. I totally struck out until I got to Goodwill. Then I had a ball. It was also Senior Day so everything was 25% off.

Cute little plate that will wind up in a vignette somewhere. 75 cents.


Love these placemats. Aren't they cute with the pocket for the silver and the tab for the napkin. I found 6 of them. 75c each.


Six plaid napkins. Won't they be cute with the placemats. 30c each. Can't you just see a tablescape coming with these.


3 sets of tassels. $l.25 each. So a total of $3.75. Wow you sure can't beat that price and you can always use another tassel.


A pair of really huge hurricanes. They are 16 inches tall and will hold a 6" diameter candle. Really big. $3.99 ea. less 25%. I have a vignette planned with these already.


It's always a fun day when you find goodies. Now you will have to come back for Table Top Tuesday and then Tablescape Thurs. to see them all in place.

  17. You really had some great luck, Marty. We have nothing like that available where I live. The antique mall where I have my booth is close for vacation, so I'm having withdrawal from having a place to root around in.

  18. Fantastic finds, Marty! Don't you just love Goodwill? I know the one in my area can be a source of such great, affordable treasures. But, it also takes a keen eye to spot the real prizes...kudos to you for your eagle eye! (Love those napkins - I'm a sucker for a great plaid!)

  19. I have placemats like these! Only mine are trimmed in a fabric ruffle all around the edges which match the napkins! I have had mine for years and usr them each and every fall! GREAT finds! Oh, the thrill of the hunt! I LOVE it!!

  36. I'm always amazed and impressed with what people find at their GW stores. Ours is just terrible. I have tried just about every day of the week, and blah...

    I think I need to head to a more largely populated area.

    Your things are wonderful, and I imagine they will be put to BEAUTIFUL use.

  37. You got some great bargains. Don't you just love senior discounts? I never hesitate to ask for the "senior" coffee at McDonald's, and we made good use of our lifetime senior National Parks pass on our recent trip.
