Welcome to the 21st Table Top Tuesday. I am so thrilled you joined us today.
I don't know why the top of my refrigerator seems to be one of those dumping grounds for all the things I'm not using somewhere else. Finally decided to find a home for everything and make it look a little more presentable.

A white tray, two roosters and a white soup tureen was more than enough.

The large rooster always makes me think he's laughing and the little one just seems so proud and kind of snooty. They both make me giggle.

Love this pretty grape soup tureen that I found at GW last year.

Now doesn't this look much better. Clean and fresh.

A closer look at one of my favorite tins.

I made this floral arrangement years ago and I still love wheat. Next to it is a recipe stand and a toile painted measuring spoon and cup set.

Love my tole rooster tray.

This is an antique vegetable shredder. It still has all the instructions printed on the back.

Now this whole side of the kitchen looks much better.

Thanks so much for stopping by, I always look forward to your visits.

The roosters are very handsome, Marty. They look good on top of the frig. Wonderful vignette and I love the vintage tin can. You have so many interesting items in your kitchen....Christine
ReplyDeleteYou are so right about the roosters! Everything looks so pretty. You have such an eye for displaying things so nicely.
ReplyDeleteYour roosters are terrific.. I love your kitchen and how you have it decorated..
ReplyDeletegotta go get pics of my own table this evening so I can play too...
hugs
Sonny
The white looks perfect against your cabinets, Marty! What a great idea ~ with this heat and humidity I should play around with some table top arrangements. Shake things up a bit! : ) I love your floral arrangement, too. I love arrangements with feathers in them, and yet I don't have one. Michael's is having a big sale, maybe I should look into that!
ReplyDeleteFabulous! The roosters are great and look well together. Your tea tin is a real treasure. Your home looks truly welcoming Marty.
ReplyDeleteMarty, I always enjoy looking at your kitchen vignettes. Love those white roosters. I have posted one, too.
ReplyDeleteLove your white roosters (with an attitude) on the frig. I like wheat too and tole painted objects. Your old tea tin with lock and the wood veggie shredder are great!
ReplyDeleteI love that you decorated the top of the frig! You know, some things are just neglected! It all looks so very beautiful!
ReplyDeleteMarty, I have the same problem with the top of my frig...it seems to catch big stuff I can't figure out where to store. Now that you've put my frig to shame, I need to go downstairs and fix it. LOL But where do I put the cake platter and whatever else I've stuck up there??? :-)
ReplyDeleteLove your rooster and that gorgeous tureen!
"A snooty rooster" indeed. We have real ones at our old house and they have attitudes! Your frig is charming. hugs♥olive
ReplyDeleteOH Marty; I love your arrangement... it looks so pretty and fresh... I always stick thing on top of mine too,,hmmmmmm I had better get mine all fixed up pretty like yours...... have great week.

ReplyDeleteMarty ~ You continue to amaze me with all you have & the vignettes you create. Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely week.

You hit the nail on the head about the top of the fridge being a catch all. How nice yours looks. I love the tureen! Hopefully everyone will be inspired to 'look up there'!! ;-D

ReplyDeleteLove the color on your walls. What is it?
:) Laura
Marty: I love the white roosters and the tureen! Looks great - have a nice day Jennifer
ReplyDeleteThe top of my fridge seems to be a catchall as well. Mostly for cereal boxes. I tried making it look all nice, but it doesn't seem to stay that way very long. I do love what you have done on the top of your fridge & cabinets as well. I love the white roosters. And they made me giggle as well when you described them.
ReplyDeleteI love the tea box! and such a happy rooster; I see why it makes you giggle.
ReplyDeleteOh Marty...I LOVE your kitchen! I always love getting another peek inside!
ReplyDeleteYour arrangement above your fridge is perfect! The white simply pops against the dark background of your walls! I love the roosters...they both have the exact personalities that you described...too cute!
The vignette above your cabinets is gorgeous...I adore the tin...if you ever tire of it I can send you my address! All of your vintage kitchen items are beautiful...like I said earlier...I LOVE your kitchen!
BEAUTIFUL!
Enjoy!

Marty, I love that giant "tea" tin. Your big rooster does look like he's laughing (or maybe singing). All of the white accessories look so clean and fresh on top of the frige. Thank you for hosting TT. laurie
ReplyDeleteI am not a rooster gal, but I do like your white ones. Lovely vignette!
ReplyDeleteI have a cabinet on top of my frig, so no room to put anything! Oh I do slide a few trays in there. Give me an empty space and I will fill it!
Thanks for hosting, Marty!
ooooh.... I love the white roosters and the tureen on top of the fridge! You are well on your way to being ready for Barb's party next month. That tray is gorgeous, too! You are lucky to have all that space above your cabinetry to display all your pretties. Thanks for hosting the party, Marty.

Hi Marty! I've always admired roosters in people's decor, but have not a one in my home. I love how your frig area looks. Great contrast with interesting pieces. Oh, and the top of my frig ends up being the same area of accumulated "stuff" from time to time! Thanks for being a great hostess.
ReplyDeleteCarla
Oh Marty, what delightful photographs of all of your awesome roosters, I love them all! Everything you do always looks so beautiful and oh so lovely! You are a fabulous decorator!

The refrigerator really does make a difference in how the room looks. Your roosters look wonderful. I have a beautiful bowl that sits on top of mine, I love the look except that my husband always shoves it to the side a puts his big Sam's Club jar of pretzels up there. Not exactly the look I was going for!
ReplyDeleteHello Sweet Marty! What a nice crisp look, and so neat! I love the brown and whites together...and I always love wheat, it's inspirational to me! Hugs! ~CC Catherine (I'm going to try my best to join the Cloche Party this week! :)

The white is perfect on top of your refrigerator. I love your roosters and I would love to find a Soup Taureen at GW. I have been looking for some time now. Just have to be there at the right time I guess. Your whole display over the fridge looks great and the vegetable shredder just fits on the wall.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to your Cloche party.
I'm going nuts. I thought I saw two hurricane lamps on a tablescape on this blog and I can't find them. They had black bases, clear globes, and white candles in them. They were $40 for the set and I think there was a code for free shipping. I have clicked till I can't click any more. Does anyone know where to find them??
