Yea!!! It's time for another Metamorphosis and Thrifty Monday hosted by the gracious Susan @ Between Naps On The Porch and Rhoda @ Southern Hospitality. They both always have so many wonderful and creative things to show us and a whole list of everyone that is sharing in this fun event, so be sure to check them out.
I am shamelessly promoting the coming "Fall Cloche Party" today. It is coming up real soon on the 11th of Sept. Be sure to get out all your cloches and apothecary jars and show us your fall decorations and your creativity.
I always want to be part of the action and in the middle of everything. You know how some people are. lol Anyway, I moved my computer to the breakfast room. There is a buffet under the window and it has drop down leaves on the ends which makes it really big when I raise them up and just perfect for me to put the computer there so I can be part of the familyroom/breakfastroom/kitchen combination. I love it. I can watch TV, cook and still blog all at the same time.

For a while I've had an old ironstone pitcher that belonged to my grandmother filled with flowers, an antique ringer phone (can you see the ringer on the side), antique shoe lasts, an ink well and a brass apple as the decorations.

I thought this would be a great spot to bring in a little fall decorating. I am really thinking cool. It is still in the triple digits here. 113 degrees today. I really am ready for fall and some cool weather, and some rain.

I found all of these items at the Dollar Tree. Just some fun pumpkins, gourds, corn, feathers and fall leaves. It makes me think cool anyway even if it isn't. lol

Please be sure to grab the button pictured her and post it on your blog to spread the word and get out your cloches and fill them up with all kinds of wonderful fall things. I can't wait to see them all. Don't forget Sept 11th. That's really soon. Also, several people have asked, and you don't have to sign up, just do your post and then I will have Mr. Linky up on the evening of the 10th and you can all log into Mr. Linky so everyone can find you. Thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate it.

Hi Marti,
ReplyDeleteI am so loving the fall cloche and getting everything at the dollar store is wonderful! I can't believe how hot it still is there. I am hoping for warm but not that warm when we visit in October. This weekend we only had highs in the mid-sixties. Talk about feeling like fall, maybe we could trade some I'll take some of your warm and you take some of my cool! LOL, I am like Debbie and feeling a little cloche impaired right now. Hugs, Cindy
Marty the cloche is beautiful - you really have a knack for this! Love the fall colors. Hope you get some cooler weather soon. We've finally gotten our "cold front" not supposed to be above 97 all week! And Saturday morning it was actually 72 degrees (for about an hour lol) Hugs, Kat

Pretty, Marty! You are really getting ready for fall. I can't get into it this early, so I probably won't put out my little white pumpkins until October, but I'll be sure and come by to see your party post.

Hugs, Barb :-)
Hi Marty....well your optimistic about fall being right around the corner....I can't imagine heat in the triple digits....Never been to the east coast? You need to make a trip in October to the northeast....no place prettier in the fall....Williamsburg is great and would be terrific in cooler weather, we hit 90 degree temps the day we were there and it was just too hot....that's why you didn't see many people in the pictures....
ReplyDeleteHi Marty,
ReplyDeleteYou always do a beautiful job with your cloches and vignettes! I admire you for "thinking cool! 113 degrees??? Oh my! It was in the 50's here last night ... wish I could bottle some rain and cooler weather and send it your way!
Bill
P.S. I like your blog background! Very tasteful ... ;)
Wow...I can't even imagine what 113degrees feels like! Love your fall look...great idea moving your computer out to where all the action is. :-)
ReplyDeleteSusan
I love your fall cloche you added to your buffet. I am SO ready for fall myself. I got some of the little glass pumpkins at Dollar Tree too that I'm looking forward to setting out.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week!
Oh dear. When I go to the dollar tree I just stand and look and think "what on earth can I do with that!" And look at what YOU created! Just beautiful and very FALL! I love it!
ReplyDeleteMy computer is pretty much in the thick of things too. What I like the most is that I can cook and blog:) What a cute desk you have!
I love your decor in the cloche!! I need to hit up the dollar store.
ReplyDeleteCece
The Dollar store huh? I will have to head over there very cute stuff! I just love cloches though!!! Traci
ReplyDeleteMarty,
ReplyDeleteAre the cloches all supposed to be fall decor??
thanks
barbara jean
The vignette is so timeless. The pieces are so different, shiny china, wood with such a beautiful patina on it, the metal inkwells. Just a great combination.
ReplyDeleteWe're having fall weathere -- quite unusual for August!
ReplyDeleteYour fall decorations look super and I'm sure make you feel cooler!
5 stars Marty! I can't wait for your party either, do not let me miss it. thanks for coming by.
ReplyDeleteMarty, you are definitely the Cloche Queen. That cloche looks so pretty. My computer is the kitchen also. I've tried to consider moving it some place less in the middle of things, and I'm afraid I'd be too lonvely, so it stays where it is. But I don't have a pretty fall cloche to inspire me. laurie
ReplyDeleteWow! Everything looks so great, Marty! Your blog looks fabulous too, how did I miss that? I am laughing at your need to bring in the fall fast! 113 degrees, really? I think I would totally melt!
ReplyDeleteI have GOT to get me a cloche! I am still the only one in blogland without one.
~Misti
dont' get too excited...I have no cloche creativity!!! lol
ReplyDeleteYou are great advertising for the cloche party, very inspiring Marty.I love it,very fall like. There you are happy to see fall arrive and I sure don't blame you. Then there is me,thinking, summer stay...not that I mind fall but it's the season following fall that I worry about. brrr.... hugs always, cyndi
ReplyDeleteGreat location for your computer, Marty! You can really multitsak now. Love your Fall cloche!...Christine
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute (and thrifty) fall vignette. I can't wait for the party!
ReplyDeleteI love cloches myself and your turned out great.
ReplyDeleteBoo Hoo I don't have a cloche and wonder how that happened and I love your Autumn one, it is just lovely. Guess I better go shopping.
ReplyDeleteThe Raggedy Girl
Hello Dearheart...
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to drop by to say hello and see what you've been up to! Ohhh Girl, I just love your Autumn cloche and pretty vignette!!! It's gorgeous!!! I'm soooo looking forward to getting my Autumn decor out and going but I have been wanting to do an all white tablescape for a few weeks and I'm just now getting to it...so I'll get started with Fall next week! I'm so ready too...I love Autumn...it's my favorite season! I'm so sorry that you're having such hot and dry weather! Autumn is already making its way into Colorado...it's actually to chilly to open the door and windows early in the morning...have to wait for it to warm up a bit to do that! Sooo...I'm sending some of this cool breeze down your way, my friend!!! Hehe!
I'm really looking forward to your upcoming Cloche Party...hope I can get some new things going by then...I'm so slow, Girl! Hehe! I'm going to put your button on my sidebar now!!! Your last cloche party was such a success...I just know that this next one will be even better!!!
Love you, Darlin'!
